With Ched Evans about to be released from prison some are signing petitions demanding he shouldn't be allowed to play for Sheffield United and others thinking that he's served his time and deserves another chance

Without getting into the particulars of the case, how would you feel if say Negredo served two years for rape and was selected to play for City?

I'm not sure where I stand, everyone deserves a second chance, but I'd feel a little uneasy cheering on a rapist

No thanks. Plenty of decent players out there who aren't scum.
"no dickheads" policy, remember?

Would you still attend matches(assuming you do) if the club continued to play/support him

United have two* playing for them.

The Bluemoon legal team advise me not to name them. :-)

I only make it over a few times a season so I doubt they'd notice really, I'd support the team but not the player I think, hard to be sure. If I was a blades fan I'd be signing that petition.

While someone released from prison obviously has to earn a living, there are some crimes that anybody in the public eye in a high profile job, like a footballer, would find very difficult picking up where they left off and rape is very much one of those crimes.

It is the same as that goalkeeper who killed two kids from Manchester by dangerous or drink driving,or Lee Hughes who crippled that guy.I wouldn't want someone like that playing for us no matter how good a player.
