Would you bet against us?

There is no room for sentiment in betting.

... is the right answer.

Football bookies have grown wealthy on fans betting irrationally on what they HOPE will happen.

£200 rags to win the league 8/15. My only gamble really was whether to put it on before or after the stoke game. I chose correctly.

£100 consolation or spunk even more away on one of the best days and nights ever! Praying (in a non-religious printed t-shirt kind of way) for the latter.

Interesting.............

Hello Pam

Have read quite a few of your brutal posts.

I have stopped betting on any blues games because I always lose ( I always (loads of money) bet on them to win).

When i don't bet on the first scorer, last scorer, next scorer, winner etc we tend to win so i've banned myself.

Never in my wildest dreams would i bet against us regardless of the odds.

I bet to win money so sentiment goes out of the window.

I layed us on betfair when we were 1/2 when the rags were 5 behind and Spurs 8 with a game in hand.

I once won £400 betting against us in the Europa. It was the game we were 2-0 up from the first leg and ticking along 0-0 in the 2nd leg with 20 mins to go.

I think it was Aalborg. Anyway in play betting had Aalborg at 200-1 to qualify at that point but I had seen how they were getting on top and thought that is too good to miss so I chucked £4 on it.

At full time it was 2-2 and extra time loomed. I stood to win £800 should Aalborg qualify but at the start of ET we were evens and they were evens.

I just stuck £400 on us to qualify. Would have won £400 either way and we got the result on pens too so was made up.

Have made decent money on in play betting on individual games. Never do accumulators as always one lets you down and these both teams to score always do too.

I will never bet against us or bet on the scum.just no it wouldn't feel right.

Yup, I put £80 on United at 13/8 on the morning before they played Spurs away. Good move as it was the last time you could get those sorts of odds.I'd rather kiss goodbye to the £80 but you bet with your head, not your heart.

Yeah I do it quite alot. I'm happy to pay a fiver or so a week to see City win. Won some money for the Swansea match and if Utd win on Monday I'll also win a few quid from City-draw Utd-win. Also put a bet on when we were about 5 points clear for Utd to win the league and I'll make about £40 from that if the bastards do.

Yeah, where betting is concerned I try to detach myself and analyse things as much as possible (doesn't always work mind!).

If that means betting how you have mentioned then so be it. It's one of those head and heart separation things.
^^^^this^^^^

you can't let your heart rule your head where betting is concerned.
Ladbrokes must be laughing their cocks off at the ammount of bellends that would bet on Joe Hart scoring the 1st goal rather than the opposing centre forward
