I'd have Rooney because I believe that he is a young talent, one of the best footballers in the world, and he would fit into our squad nicely.

I also believe that Ferguson is past his prime, doesn't really understand how to man manage this new generation of footballer, and has always been pretty shite tactically.

That's not hypocritical, that's realising that football is a game of talent, and tribalism gets you absolutely nowhere.

Up until 24 hours ago he was hated by every City fan out there, remember the carling cup semi's last year? Kissing the badge in front of the stretford after scoring a last minute winner. How much did you hate him after that game?

The reasons for people wanting him here are

A) He's a top player on his day. Can it be argued that Slur Alex is one of the best managers around?

B) It will weaken the rags. Nothing more would weaken the rags than losing their greatest ever manager.

C) According to most, people are letting their bitterness towards the rags get in the way if they don't want Rooney here. What would be different in the case of Baconface coming here?

D) "Yes he's a rag cnut, but who gives a fuck if he wins us the league?" I'll ask you the same question about Fergie.

Some of us don't want the soul of the club ripped out just so we can get our hands on the 2nd top premier league goalscorer for 1 season. Draw the fucking line somewhere. I swear some would let us play in red shirts if it meant us being successful. Glory hunters the lot of ya.
