I think he was immense at Bayern, when he moved to Chelsea the team was built around Lampard and had to fit in around lampard. In effect his position is the same as Lampard, I think he has experience and would be a very good pick up. what do you lads think?

Blumer out!

humnn, appreciate your opinion nelly, but I think he is still a high class midfielder, who could command our midfield..

er no, we need young strong players, we need to find that all important ingriedient of youth and experience, it will cost us but we are wadded:)

lol, De Niro we dont have an experienced fiesty mid field general at the moment all are relatively young..
elano, stevie I, Johnno, SWP, ndj, vinny 'who is a cb'

No. His wages would be stupidly high, add the fact that's he not exactly young it's a no for me.

You say that but look at the stearling job Hammann did for us. Experience CAN outweigh youth. Would you not agree that when Zizu retired he was still one of the best?

I dont think its a bad shout tbh.

As for him coming from Baynern - I seriously think we should raid their squad!

No thanks, he seems to perform in only the big games for Chelsea, what would he do for us on a cold night in Wigan. He could turn out to be a bad influence, he could be immense, but I think I would go for the former.

I don't think he contributes enough pure and simple. He is intelligent with a good touch and might score the odd goal but he hasn't got the energy we need and doesnt get forward enough for me. We already have Ireland for the main forward running role and plenty who can sit and play the defensive role so having somebody like Ballack to hang around there just doesnt seem to fit.

Exactly, we dont have a midfield general, all are attacking midfielders are great but they lack a certain steal about them...
