With Dzeko in top form it will be hard to leave him on the bench so would you play Kun, Dzeko and Tevez against Ajax? We can play 4-3-3 or 4-4-2 but Kun playing in the Silva role? The guy is world class and can defiantly play in midfield behind the strikers

Only if it’s in champions league I just feel playing 3 strikers would give us the best chance of getting out of our group this year

No. The 2 benched strikers v WBA should start. Dzeko and Kun to tear it up.

Correct

(Although when Dzeko plays from the start the opposition have an hour after the teams are announced to come up with a plan of marking him- but he deserves the start).

While Silva is out, I would

Let either Tevez or Aguero play in the deeper role that Silva plays

Then Dzeko up top with one of them

I agree and let segio drop deep because he can play in that role no problem

Play edin as a target man with tevez and kun just off him, although this rules out using out and out wingers unless wego to 3 at the back and use wing backs, which hasnt served us well so far.

I dont like leaving out barry though, but at home it is definitely a more attacking formation.

Footballing suicide to play with 3 strikers, that would mean at least two of the strikers would have to drop back into midfield to make up the numbers and whilst Tevez has the work rate Dzeko does not (he is an out an out striker and yes he harries the back 4 but once its gone beyoind him that his job done) and Kun seems to fall somewhere between the two

Play a single striker, with wither Tevez or Hun off him in a deeper role and pack the midfield control the game and move on from their

We played with 3 strikers against Villa in extra time at the ended pretty badly

4 2 3 1 it works stick with it

Don't we have four strikers or are you forgetting somebody? My concern here is that we need ball-winners and ball-passers in midfield in order to service the strikers. Not sure if Tevez/Aguero are strong enough in those departments.
