Would you prefer to be s**t again?

Why does that season feel like the height of everything ? It's like I held my breath the entire time and when it was over it was the biggest relief. I've never felt the same since then and I can't understand why

Nothing will ever surpass that season for a number of reasons. We played some superb football including the 6-1. Mancini winning the mind games with Ferguson, overhauling an eight points defecit with six games to go, the first time it had ever been done. Then the QPR game which absolutely incorporated everything this crazy club is all about in ninety five insane minutes. When you add on ripping the title out of the rags hands just as they were about to celebrate and it being our first title for forty four years there you have it.

An attempt at insight here.
I doubt anyone who went through the QPR game could ever see football in quite the same way lol.
That 90 minutes encapsulated (For me anyway) the previous 26 years of hope, fear, underachievement and exaltation.
I never tire of watching the BBC highlights of that day - City fans in tears and fury wondering how we'd thrown it away, followed by those 2 goals and them lot suddenly realising it was snatched away hahaha (Oh and f#$%ing haha).
I'll take those mental images to my grave - when I'm cremated I might even ask for that commentary Aguuuueeeeerrrrrrrooooooo

I used to like being shit, when i was on holiday abroad othe fans used to pat you on the head and slap you on the back " shit club, great fans" they used to say

Hang on what am i saying, i can now do that now to other fans, Aggguuueeerrrooooo :)
