Just been asked this by a fellow blue.

Would you rather:

1. Beat Bayern 3-0 and top the group, get an easier draw in the last 16, and send out a message to the rest of Europe.

Or

2. Beat Arsenal 3-0, close the gap to 3 points and send out a message to the rest of the prem?

I chose the later, obviously we'd all like both but if you had to chose which would you rather?

Both

I knew the first response would be both, well done mate, great input

It's the real world

A tricky question and it is a fine balancing act of keeping us competitive in the Champions League and fresh for the Arsenal. After the Bayern game we can fully concentrate on the Premier League but we cannot afford a heavy defeat though. If you press me for answer then I would say a creditable defeat or draw and a win against Arsenal.

Beat the arse and wipe the smile off Merson's mug.
ah mersons alright, loved his celebrations when aguero scored 'that' goal.
I'm gonna agree with an earlier post and say that the momentum gained from a big win in Munich would easily see us through the arsenal game AND send out a big message to the rest of the world, not just the premier league.
but if I had to choose 1, it would be the arsenal game.

Have to disagree on that one mate. Merson is not alright! He is a spiteful twat and probably the worse pundit ever. Hates us well and truly.

I just want to beat Arsenal, doesn't matter whether it's by 1 or 3. I'd always take league success over the Champions League

Going with the most realistic one...Arsenal. Can't afford to lose that game, and I would definitely play the reserves in Munich.
Even if Bayern play a reserve side themselves, it would still be difficult to win 3-0.

Give the younger lads some experience in Munich and get 3 points on Saturday

My heart says Bayern, my head says Arsenal. I was really saddened by the way we lost to Bayern in the first match. I have a lot of confidence in our team and was boasting to friends that we will beat Bayern or at least give them a close game. What occurred that night was depressing and embarassing. I would love for us to make a statement to them and the rest of Europe. Let's go City!!!!
