Would you really prefer all Prem games on a Saturday 3pm ?

I now really disagree with this.

Reason being I now go quite often to Notts County games on a Saturday when I’m not going to City games as they’re close to me and cheap to take the family.

I’ve met a lot of fans there that are Forest fans that do similar, either going to County or Mansfield games.

If they didn’t have the blackout, there is a lot of lower league clubs that really would still have a detrimental impact on their match day numbers and it’s even more important for them now than before.

I really do recommend to anyone, particularly over the age of forty, go and watch a local lower league game if you can - it’s like going back to watching football as a kid for me and I love it :)

It wouldn't unduly bother me, no. There's more to life than football. Watch a movie, or a documentary. Or read a book. Go for a walk. Do a bit of gardening at this time of year. Listen to some music (given your input on here down the years, I'd have thought you'd go for that). Or take up a hobby. Or maybe give some of your spare time in the evenings to doing some voluntary work. There's plenty of alternatives to watching football out there, should you want them.

I hate mid week matches tbh, especially in the winter, after a 8-9hr shift at work standing freezing my arse off in the ground is the last thing on my prefered list, I understand europe and league cup has to be but prefer all league and FA Cup games on saturday

But what benefit is that to you as a viewer ? You get to watch Man City but no other Prem games ever.

I ain't arsed about watching other premier league games.
I support city no one else, tbh rather watch other leagues in europe.over other premier league games.

Well since I chucked in my Hammers season ticket which I’m glad I did, most Saturdays we take the kids out for the day - Parks, Fairs, Beaches etc so another reason I’m grateful Prem is not all 3pm on a Saturday as I’d never watch it , I take my boy to swim class every Sunday - I book a run race once a month, part of a run club, just run a Marathon. My job is busy and social, out and about quite a bit and get to travel mainly to Scandinavia a few times a year, I enjoy reading and Music reviews obviously, pretty hectic life to be honest. So when I do get some chill time by self it’s nice sometimes that there’s usually a match to watch.

I think 7 on Saturdays at 3, one on Saturday tea-time, one at 2 on Sunday and the main game at 4 on Sunday is a decent balance. I hate how SKY have zero consideration for travelling fans. I know mind the idea of Monday Night Football but I can take it or leave it, but they could use the most local clash (excluding derbies) and show that they care a single iota for fans. This weekend, it could've been Villa v Forest or Palace v Brighton on MNF. Far more entertaining and convenient than Leicester v Newcastle.

No I work Saturdays, so have take a day off if I go to Saturday games,Sundays better for me, but never 12,50 Saturdays need to leave at 7.00 for this weeks game.

Personally yes if I lived local than I wouldn't be that bothered.
The next two game I had bought tickets to I can't go to now because they have been moved.
It pisses me off queueing online for hours to get tickets, you look forward to the game then it gets moved.

Fucking 8pm Friday is a joke. I'm travelling up to the peak district that day so can't really just drop the wife at the holiday let and dash over to the game ! I was planning to do that on the Saturday just leave the wife at the holiday let lol.

Have to be honest, I find the majority of games uninteresting these days, and consequently, I don't watch them. I will watch City, of course. But this season, even that's been a chore. The football we're playing is a tough watch, and I can understand rival fans saying it's boring. Therefore, I don't bother with most live games and, as such, wouldn't miss them if they weren't on. Take the next weeknight PL games that are being televised; Bournemouth vs Fulham next Monday night, and Newcastle vs Palace on Wednesday. If I was delayed at work, I wouldn't be breaking the speed limit rushing home to see either game. And that's not looking down my nose at any of those 4 clubs; I just don't see myself tuning in to either game. And that's even allowing for the fact that both games are featuring rivals for a top 4/5 spot.

It is literally being stolen from working class people, by the corporate and business world. Shown at whatever time they want it on TV, charge whatever prices they want, pricing out the riff-raff.

We can't even afford to go watch OUR teams. Ffs it annoys me so I am going to go watch Crewe. Much better atmosphere where the fans care.

Today it's just an entertainment business which is being massively overplayed, which in turn is diluting itself.
Just look at the media reaction to a shit 0-0 in the derby, it's as if there's no allowance for a football match to end with no goals in it anymore.
Didn't hear the same outcry for the West London Derby earlier that day but maybe that was because Sly had our Derby down as 'the biggie' in the entertainment stakes that weekend

Ditto. I used to have an interest in most top flight games ,but now couldn't care less about them.
I would prefer sat 3pm games,not least so I could have certainty planning work around City matches.

This season has been strange,with a noticeable drop off in quality,imo...and I won't watch the champions elect
Liverpool,too many players I can't stand,Trent and that horrible aggressive ex Brighton player in midfield
Mcallister? ..
I'll give Chelsea the odd watch ,Palmer s elegant graceful play and their right wingers who is imo the best in the league are good to watch ,forest are dull but their break - neck speed counter attacking are of interest to me.
