Would you want Mancini out if we dont make 4th?

Mancini is doing a good job with someone elses side. Big Shame that we missed out on the McDonald and Gago transfers because its becoming glaringly obvious that the midfield that Hughes brought in is not up to the job.

Give Bobby another season, back him, and we will fly.
 
This 6 month (and we'll see how things are) contract says it all for me.... He was brought in as they wanted Hughes out, IF he did spectacularly well i.e carling cup, not being knocked out by stoke in the FA cup and 4th (minimum, lets remember where we were when he took over) then he'd stay....as he has not delivered I expect Jose to take over this summer, not a huge fan of his football but the mans a proven winner across many different leagues so thanks for your efforts Robbie Manc, but its not worked out.
 
unless Jose Mourinho is a definite option which i belive he could be, maybe even a done deal i think we need stability and need to give a manager a chance to build his own team. Mancini is trying to do this it said a lot to me that he had the deal done with Mariga but red tape caused it to fall through but who then stepped in and immediately signed the guy...... Jose Mourinho who has a proven winning track record therefore if Mancini is given time he can develop into that calibre of manager n he could build a winning legacy at city with the Arabs backing. It has been announced today he is second in the world club managerial salaries only to Jose does this not state his worth and what lengths we had to go to in order to get him, he also does not waste money just for the sake of buying a name, he is a very shrewd operator with a winning mentality
 
No, really what is the point, we're a more capable side than Everton but Everton are proof of what stability can achieve. They've been in europe a good few times, reached an FA cup final and beat us twice this year. We need to make a few good signings but slowly build a side and do so with the continuity of the same management team. I looked at the players tonight and Zabaleta signed at the start of last year is one of our longest serving players.

Keep Mancini, let him build his side, we know he's a winner in his playing career and in management, i'm sure i read his wins to games ratio is higher than Hughes anyway, who incidentally i didn't want to go AT THE TIME.

Give him time, I personally think he's a good manager as well
 
no, he's clearly good enough to turn us into title challengers with a bit of time and money, and I find him likeable. maybe after a couple of years we'll look at him and think, but can you really make us serial winners? but right now I still feel he has generally improved us a great deal without throwing money around. I thought at the time that hughes built his castle out of sand, relied on a few dodgy characters to maintain peak form to hold it all together. I always suspected we had a lot of 'impact' players who can pull out explosive moments but not enough steady players who contribute reliably for the full 90. too many speed merchants, too many players who's game is based around their physicality. too many one-men shows. Not enough quality in the midfield. Too many strikers pretending to be wingers. for the money, not enough ability to retain the ball and work in tight areas. Nowhere near enough players with real tactical intelligence, real team players who just keep it ticking over. lacking certain technical specialists. the all out attack served to hide these limitations.

mancini faced a difficult choice. he changed the style from the ground up, rather than just patch a few things up. in doing so, we've now got a few players who look completely and utterly lost... but I look at it and think, hmm, a right-winger should be able to cross effectively once in a while, even the most defensive midfielder should be able to pass a bit and work his areas properly. every single professional footballer should be able to think for himself and play for the team. even if the tactics seem odd to you, you should always be able to contribute the basics, really work as part of a team... so whilst I do admit the change in styles has not suited everyone, I find my sympathy lies with the manager rather than players who are struggling. I think, despite the bad days, the change has been justified by the results. Recently, even when the results haven't come, the tactics were clearly putting us in a position where with a touch more luck, concentration, or just taking our chances, we would have won.

it's a difficult situation right now. a handful of the players are clearly not adapting to his style, they look more and more limited as the weeks go by. if he stays, and they continue to struggle, next year, they will be marginalised at best, more likely moved on. he knows it, they know it....how do you manage people in that situation? you give them chances and they bomb. you leave them out totally and unrest grows, because they are favourites in certain quarters.
 
He's good tactically, has good experience, has good stature in the game, is good at getting the ball off opposing managers and is very good looking!

No. He's a keeper

Besides, he can become an actual City manager, someone synonymous with the club, rather than us just getting a Jose or Hiddink for a couple of years before the likes of Barca or Real come knocking. Neither of those 2 could become part of the furniture, so to speak.
 
I personally hope Mancini is with us next season I believe with time he could come good for us, lets face it basically he is playing with a team what Mark Hughes bought and left him with, he has had no say in the January transfer market. In the papers today they say City is after Roma defender Philippe Mexes and also Palermo striker Edinson Cavani if these are the players that Bobby has highlighted then I can see his team is going to be a ton better than what we have.

Out of the starting eleven plus subs I can only see three players that would be kept in Mancini’s new look team next season. If we don’t qualify for a Champions League place it is not the end of the world for us we have to learn to walk before we can run, we are a patient lot we have had to be over the years.

Last night we lost but we only lost the battle and not the war, the last few weeks we have had some cracking results so the law of averages say we were due a loss it was last April when we last lost at the COMS not a bad record. When Hughes was here we drew seven games on the trot point wise we would have been better winning one then losing one now we have that loss out of the way lets get behind the team and Bobby and cheer them on to win the rest of the games.

Not bloody likely. Knowing City, we will probably get pipped for seventh place by Everton or Villa, but I would still want Mancini to stay AND would expect ADUG to give him the funds to buy some quality players in the summer, unlike in January when his hands seem to have been tied.
 
4th or not there's only one man I wanna see manage city and if he's not interested init then I'd be happy for mancini to carry on.

Mark Hughe's target was 6th. Always was, would still be if he was with us now. I don't get who really set the target of 4th, the media? The fans?

6th would satisfy me really, 5th would be better of course and 4th would be amazing!
