Would you want Mancini out if we dont make 4th?

I havent read the entire thread but for me 6th or better is ok with me.

Id love to get 4th, but if we dont we shouldnt just sack the manager, its about time we give someone a chance...

Don't mind either way, I'm more concerned with who we recruit to play on the pitch. I don't see any reason not to give him some time but what will move City forward is replacing our current midfield with one that can do the basics. Look at Chelsea, they change managers like we all chamge socks yet they're always on the pace when it comes to the league.
It's the players that matter!

What does anything you have just said have anything to do with what I said in this thread?

Have I said Hughes was a great manager? NO

Have I said Hughes is better than Mancini? NO

Have I even said we would be better off if we hadn't sacked Hughes? NO

All I have said is that Mancini is not the godlike figure some on here consider him to be

To be fair you were implying that Hughes and Mancini were of a similar stature in the game. ie young, unproven but maybe with a future.

Sorry I shouldn't have made the "just like our last manager" comment as I guess it clouded the actual point of what I was saying. It was more a throw away comment rather than an actual argument. Both of them are young and the Jury is still out on both of them but yes Mancini has achieved a lot more than Hughes. However, I'm not that interested in which one of the two is better as Hughes is gone and wont be coming back so its pretty irrelevant.

My original point when I got involved in this thread was in response to someone saying Mancinis CV and achievements would make him a leading candidate to replace Baconface or Wenger. This simply isn't the case and that what I have been trying to argue.

no the one thing city need is stability

This ^^^

no surprise that 2 of the 3 teams competing for the title have had the same manager for donkeys years

No surprise we were beaten last night by a team that's had the same manager for years.
Don't agree, Everton do well because they found some good players and play to their strengths. Stability helps but it's not essential and as I believe we have a lot of players who should be moved on, instability at the top nothing to a club who can bank roll the next man.

How on earth is that good news. You lot are deluded. As i say, nice bloke, classy looking guy, not a fucking Prem league manager.

You want stability and something built on solid foundations, then we need to get it right from the start and we need to start with the right man. Mancini is not the right man. Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal would never have appointment Mancini.

What a load of manure.

Chelsea can appoint Hiddink? Or Grant or Scholari or Ancelotti?

But they would never consider Mancini who has only won Serie A 3 times and the Copa Italia god knows how many times? No, they'd never appoint him would they.

Right now I bet more than 50% of Liverpool supporters would swap managers with us in a heartbeat.

Mancini has the CV and the talent to take over from Baconface and Wenger as the best managers in the Prem.

We need to leave him to get on with the job. OK after a couple more seasons if we aren't seriously on track, then we can have a rethink, but for god's sake he's only been here 4 months.

Are you fucking kidding me. Your comparing the likes of Hiddink, Scolari, Ancelotti with Mancini? what fucking planet are you on. Must be smoking crack. Grant was only a stop gap.

Hiddink and Scolari have both delivered on the international stage.
Ancelotti has won Champions League

Mancini won Serie A when all their best competitors were given huge handicaps - Mancini has accomplished nothing in my eyes. He has never won only when given an even playing field.

The fact you compare him to experienced international and champions league winning managers is a testament to how retarded you are.

Liverpool supporters sign their managers name every game. You think the would swap the man who gave them another champions league, a champions league final and managed to attract the likes of Torres for Mancini? Again, what fucking planet are you on.

Mancini has no fucking CV, i'll bet you right now , any amount of money you like Mancini never gets a top job in England. We are as big as he gets here and he'll be sacked and go back to Italy where someone like Lazio will sign him up.

I don't care how long he has been here for. You think his appointment was one that was debated and thought about, or you think we got the biggest name we could who was out of work and easy to get?

The only palatable reason for ousting Mancini after 6 months, 4th place OR NOT; would be if Mourinho was coming. And that would be a gamble!

For one point Mancini can only beat what is put infront of him and winning a leauge no matter what has happened is a very hard thing to do. So i dont agree with you at all on that one.

Your point on Scolari is so wide of the point and just made up i think. Scolari has never managed a top european side apart from Chelsea( that went well) in fact he has only ever won any domestic trophys in Kuwait(well shit sign him up) and brazil. And lets face it any manager of Brazil with the talent he has avaliable is in with a shot. One major trophy( i admit its the biggest one) is far from the makings of a world class manager. In fact in day to day club management they have both been average at best

Hiddink hasnt won anything since 1988 European cup !!! and that was before the CL.

in a nut shell i think you have either watched sky sports news far to much. or like everyone else, has made those 2 managers into something special without any real basis. Ancelotti has done well as a manger, but its worth noting that he has never beaten a Mancini team, and he rates him as one of the best.

Noticed a couple of replies in this thread mentioning this 6 months then 3 years. Read last nights programme the minutes from the Points of Blue Meeting it is a 3 years 6 month deal Mancini signed...his reply that started all that was just his command of the language letting him down
