Would you want united in the final?

The bloke next to me at the semi final sat down when Yaya scored and spent the rest of the game with his coat over his head!

It would also be a late afternoon ko making it difficult to catch the last train, especially if it went to extra time. After the semi final I left the ground straight after the final whistle only to find myself on Wembley Way with about 5 other City fans and about 20,000 United fans. Not nice.

I'd prefer City v Chelsea. It would mean that United had lost the QF, might be the start of a slump. It would also be a game that we would enjoy winning rather than approach with the fear that we'd be on the wrong side of a shock.

If we get to the Semis and draw Wigan, Oldham or Blackburn, is it really worth trailing everyone down to Wembley when Old Trafford holds 75k?
We could have 50k tickets and there'd still be enough for any of those other clubs!

I know a lot wouldn't want to be at the swamp, but there would be a huge cost saving and we'd all be home at a sensible time even if there was extra time and pens.

Footballs for the biggest ups and downs.

How can you 'enjoy' 100's of matches versus repetitive dross.

That's why Clasico's and Milan derbies and even the Scottish derbies in times gone by have always elicited massive viewings.

No-one wants to watch Swansea vs Bradford, or even Chelsea vs Corinithians.

Yes, it's a feel good story when the underdog wins, but who fecking cares.

Though it could just as easily be us winning it at their expense. Someone's got to win it and someone's got to lose it.

United have got the momentum this season. If they're still in Europe then that routine of winning matches might carry them through to either a double or a treble.

All of our summer signings combined don't make up for their capture of Van Persie. He's their match winner and our potential match winner now wears red and black in Italy.

Sorry but that's complete tosh. Our 3 remaining strikers are more than capable, not to mention other potential match winners, Yaya, Silva...
To be the best you've got to beat the best. I would HATE a damp squib of a final against Millwall for example.

They weren't capable when U****d beat us 3-2 earlier this season. Rooney scored twice and Van Persie grabbed a late winner. Didn't Zabaleta and Yaya Toure have to do the business for us that day?

I'd much rather beat Millwall in the final.
