Wrexham received non repayable government grants of £18million

It ruddy well isn't.

I can't abide Wrexham. And if ever more justification needed that odious grubby creature Herbert of the Fail supports them.

Why weren't ,Cardiff, or Swansea or Newport given the same monies.

Wrexham are the Welsh equivalent of the Dips/ Rags/ Arse. Now pass me that letter headed paper...

Absolute total Yankee tossers imo.

It's like they've got a license to print money.

Its a grant that any club could potentially receive. I'd sooner it went to a club that are actively looking to invest in the club and the area.

For me the only issue would be that the funds will ultimately line the pockets of Americans. Give the grant but make sure there is a clause that ensures it is repaid in full with interest should the club be sold for a profit.

Inequality?
Yeah, inequality. If you believe for one second any of that "redevelopment of the general area" propaganda nonsense spouted in the media, well that's up to you. It's a leg up for a privately owned business from a council that wants to reap some of the benefits of that business being successful. It fucking stinks.

Would you be claiming it to be all well and good if Trafford borough council gave the rags 200million (of their 250million budget) to help them redevelop? I very much doubt it

I've no idea what the council put on the paperwork but I'm not going to class a bit of help for Wrexham to regenerate a very, very old ground to building a new one for Trafford United

Precisely.

Too many American owners of English Football clubs. They remove £ and do not invest. This grant should not have gone to the club it should have been used to sort the station infrastructure directly.
