Don't think any of our players played well enough. Chelsea were largely content to let us have the possession and we didn't do enough with it to really trouble them. Mistakes and poor passing from both teams led to a pretty poor game truth be told. Congrats to Chelsea on winning the league I guess.

Added to that we want far too much time on the ball. We play as though there is no opposition to tackle us. They are far more direct, much faster than us.

Yes looked like it. Fowler was just a tippy tippy irrelevance today and Fujino gave the ball away too much. Don’t know why there is the love in for her. This game was made for Kelly. Roord, Shaw and Greenwood are the best players as well as Hemp.
But up to 70 mins it was a decent performance and in a tight game the first goal is so important. Football has not changed as far as I can see in the 50 odd years I’ve been watching. If you areaway against a top team you have to be clinical in front of goal and we weren’t.
I can’t see s as my chance of anyone finishing above Chelsea so I’ll wait for the “it’s so boring and uncompetitive that one team keeps on winning” outcry.
But I won’t hold my breath.

Shame but we are asking for trouble defending so slowly and deeply. I love Jess but played that 2nd goal like when kids chase the ball, she left her player by running towards the ball!

Alanna is the weak link she's having a nightmare and if Alex wasn't in this side we would be 4 down - so many cheap mistakes from our Ozzie. I was worried when Laia got injured as Kennedy is a big step down.

Laia and Lauren big misses today - Despite being 2 down I don't think Chelsea are that great, they just play basic plans and intimidated us today. Dislike Cuthbert but if I was manager I'd get Jess to watch that game again and tell her she needs to do more.

For those wanting early subs I really don't think Coombs and Kelly are good enough, They both were very poor when they came on.

Kelly far better than Fujino; and not Coombes, Murphy should have been on for Fowler. Would have terrorised Bronze with her pace and directness

I was hoping for summat out of this game but at the end it simply shows the gap between the two sides. This mania for possession doesn't work against teams who have some attacking ambition and intent, and too often the possesion peters out before yer get into the oppo area. The shot stats sez it all. Mind, we could de 'em at The Etihad.

I'm amazed she signed a new contract. She should be playing for a better team without a clueless manager. She's light years ahead of anyone else apart from Bunny.

S'gonna be a long 'un. Only when we win summat is there a plaintive cry of 'uncompetitive'. Never arose when the Dippers 'n Rags were sharing trophies. Same with the women. All the years Arsenal were the top team it was never uttered.
