WSL West Ham (H) 06/10/24 KO - 13:00

Positives re yesterday:
- Created a lot of chances
- Gareth Taylor ROTATED his team
- We got three points
- Arsenal fans suffering severe headloss after drawing with Everton
- Jill Roord is BACK
- Miedema's link up play is so good. Not a side to her game you notice as much when she's not playing for your team and you're mostly seeing highlight reels.

Negatives re yesterday:
- We still don't seem to be fully clicked into gear yet but I guess it's still early in the season
- For all of the signings we've made, I think we're still v dependent on Bunny Shaw. She changed the game and put West Ham firmly on the back foot yesterday as soon as she came on.
- It's great we have so many attacking options to shuffle the pack when we need but we seem to have a lot less scope for rotation in the more defensive positions. An injury to Hasegawa or Aleixandri would be catastrophic for us

I make City favourites for that game. We shall see.
I wouldn't. We're still adjusting to the new signings while also waiting for our best team (if GT even knows what that is) to be all fully fit and available (managing minutes for Miedema & getting Roord up to speed after her ACL recovery). Barcelona seem in good form having scored 8 in an away win while also resting some of their star names. They've also scored 25 in the 5 league games they've played this season (10 more than their nearest rival) so that latest result doesn't seem an outlier. I'd probably take a draw if it was offered now.

Same, but i am really excited to see how we measure up and It will be really fun to see how Barcelona manage someone like Bunny Shaw. The state of the Liga F is needs to improve fast because it's going to be extremely damaging for Spanish football, and Barcelona too, if it remains as uncompetitive as it is.
