And the lino is the only one in the entire universe who saw it. Ref didn't even consider a yellow! The refs in the PL are shite but the ones they dredge up for the WSL are execrable!
Tbf, I had a quick look back before the feed cut off. Castellanos did kick out, but the foot was stud high and seemed to catch the oppo on the upper thigh, but she rolled around clutching her stomach.
I don't think the studs actually caught the player, but the outside boot did.
It's what it looked like to me as a quick glance.

I think the most 'redundant' player on the pitch today was Keating. She had little to do in the second half. And another game where we could, with a full complement, filled a sack with the goals! Pretty good game management after Ouahabi was red carded I need, for my own mental well-being a slo-mo of that incident!

In fairness to the Fa. Showing every WSL game live on their app is a major step forward for women's football. Can't blame them yet for not having multiple camera angles and replay facilities. That will come as the game continues to grow.

She was off her line.
She shuttled to her left before scampering to her right a half yard off her line.
It was a rubbish pen in truth, but could have, and should have, been retaken.

I've just had a glance at the BBC website. The league positions are up after one game! Interestingly Leicester are top with their 4-2 win and we are second. Rather surprisingly, the team they beat aren't bottom. Must be by stint of scoring two goals to WHU's none! Had Kelly buried the pen we'd be top!
Good win today that. Yes it's a game we should win, but things don't always work out that way. The top basic requirement for a good season will be to not slip up in the straightforward matches, so job done today.
Roord will be a big signing for us. Not enough threat from centre midfield areas last season. Either she'll be free at times, or teams will watch for her and give us more space elsewhere.

I didn't see it all, but it certainly looked a huge improvement on the first half bits I saw.Well done City. Thought we played quite well in the second half.
