I’m certain we will need to bring in one homegrown player to replace Grealish, so most likely Gibbs White or Wharton.
Would prefer Wharton then! Dont want us not utilizing Nico Gonzalez next season when Rodri is back? Nico can really push on and become just as Rodri has imo and can’t progress sat on the bench just to try and accommodate an expensive signing? Nico can play higher up as well.

Martin and Tone on the Mancunian Way CTID podcast both get good info and they say Gibbs White is a main target. We have followed for years apparently and were interested last summer.
He isn't my cup of tea at all but I can see the club looking at him as a Grealish replacement. HG and all that.
I think Reijnders or Larsson will be looked at as the Gundo replacement and I think we will sign 2 of Cherki, Baena and Simons to replace Bernardo and Kev.
Wirtz is off to Bayern for me. His agent (his Dad) and his family want him to join Bayern for the benefit of the national team apparently.
Reijnders, Cherki and Baena then please!

If this is the case, we are finished. Gibbs White is not good enough. End of story.

This guy I'd a highlights reel player...a flash in yhe pan. 6 has great individual skill bit has never lived up to the hype....
If he is our kdb replacement then we are in trouble

Lol, thinking about it now—true, he’s still very young. But @simon23 isn’t wrong. That drum has been beating for a long time now—what, four years or so? Pretty much since he got to PSG. You’d think we were talking about Lamine Yamal with the way people raved about him.He’s 21 years old. Never lived up to the hype. lol.
I haven’t quite seen that superstar level everyone was hyping. To be fair, I was on that train too—thought he would be the next big thing, but I kept waiting for that breakthrough that would put him in that superstar level/category. It has not happened, maybe it will, maybe it wont, he is still a good player though!

He is good and has/ had good stats in the Bundesliga but I don’t see him nearly as good as Musiala or Wirtz and doesn’t have the same ceiling as Cherki in my eyes. Especially with the fact that he wants to be an absolute starter wherever he goes . Wirtz, Cherki, Baena. 1 or if not 2 of these 3 should it be. Simons shouldn’t be an option in my eyes.
