Xmas dinner

Off out this year for the first ever time and I can’t wait. Booked in at a curry place, pub first, then walk to the curry house, home for 7ish. Whisky, and cheese will follow

Ordered all our Christmas Day and Boxing Day food from M & S at the end of October. Ready to pick up on Christmas Eve. Not the cheapest but decent quality.

After a few years overseas, I must admit to being a bit shocked by the price of turkeys!

Forget Xmas, those of us in Yanksville have Thanks Giving dinner to sort out tomorrow.....
I just nipped out and bought my favourite "Holiday" meal.
Field Roast's cranberry and hazelnut roast, along with veggie gravy, potatoes, beans, veggie stuffing, home made cranberry sauce, nice bottle of Merlot......

Myself and my good lady will be going to our favourite curry house for Christmas Dinner then home and on the piss all day.

Terrible

There were 2 duck legs plus a tiny lump about the size of a ping ping ball. The meat was old and tough. Didn't even taste like duck. Skin would not crisp even after 25 minutes on 220c oven plus 5 minutes under grill.
Try the ones from Donald Russell, excellent like the rest of the meat from there

Last year Mrs Unicorn, myself and eldest lad had a liquid Christmas lunch at our closest pubs in Sheffield.

2 pints of Belgian Blue in the Blind Monkey and a packet of cheese and onion, and 2 pints Neepsend Blonde in the Blake with nuts. Fantastic.
