Ya Ya - very slow or very quick?

He is deceptively fast with the ball, not particularly quick footed but his long strides means he almost glides across the pitch.

Also, has anyone noticed his first touch is nearly always spot on and featherlight? There was an occasion yesterday where the ball was fired hard at him at chest height and he just killed it dead- really classy.

Yesterday he didnt do too much in the game he was over shadowed by most of our team. Apart for the pass for Tevez and his run into the box he really didnt do a lot after that. I think he could well do with loosing some weight. Seems lazy when we dont have the ball and slow to get back and help out. This lazy style will lead to us getting caught on the counter attack. I dont mind if your slow but at least make a attempt at getting back to help out the defence. Overall I am sitting on the fence at the moment with Yaya we paid over the odds for him in the first place and he is yet to live up to the high price tag at the moment. Early days but there is a lot of room for improvement in him.

i thought when paul lake retired through injury, that was it.
it will be years before we nurture a player of his quality through the ranks.
only way would be to buy a player, not a chance, city would never be able to afford a player of such quality.

ive mourned the loss of paul lakes talant everyday, going as far as saying,"i wish we had sold him to liverpool" so he would of been given the top treatment right away.

i cant believe we can afford yaya, with all the money we have,i still cant believe we can afford him.

he is fast enough to win games is my answer.

I like the way he controls his pace. Yesterday he was slow, slow, quick-quick, slow.

Watch out for him blitzing strictly come dancing next time around.

I honestly though he was carrying a knock yesterday. After AJ came on for Silva (who was carrying a knock) and Ade came on, I thought it would be Yaya who went off. There was one point where Silva was down in our half and Yaya was wandering back from the Chelsea box and I thought ' hello it's 11 v 9 here', but we came through it.

Since he has arrived, we have certainly got the best out of Kolo Toure, which is a bonus in itself - though being partnered with Kompany rather than Lescott I think has helped.

I agree Kolo on another level this year.

As for Ya ya looks like he`s had too many pies but looks fast compared to Barry although I though GB was excellent yesterday.
