YaYa - Can We Live Without Him?

Yes we have to live without him, we are not a one-man team and we have a big squad.
I observe we are a different team without Yaya; not better or worse, just different, and that is a strength which Roberto needs to play to more often. On his day Yaya can be a great player with great vision and strength on those driving runs, and he has a gift for scoring some crucial goals, but we are often predictably slow and narrow. On off-days Yaya can be slow & deliberate & appears lazy & nonchalant & takes too long getting back into position. This season he has had more of those games than we would like to see, but in his defense maybe he is suffering from playing too many games.
Against Arsenal this weekend we showed that our strong squad if rotated carefully can play well and get a good result without him, and we are now playing better as a team.

I think Yaya has been effected by playing a deeper role this season. The answer for me is top play same team as we are now, but put Yaya in Garcia's place, next to Barry (Aguero of course takes spot of Tevez/ Dzeko when he is fit). This way, when Milner plays, he provides industry, and defensive discipline, this means that Yaya can be freed to attack how he pleases and Milner drops back along with Barry to provide a strong defensive set-up when we lose the ball. I think having Yaya, Barry and Milner on at the same time would be best for us.

Mainly anonymous this season. Arguably thats because he's being employed in the wrong position, but the Yaya of last season that made searing runs into opposition penalty areas and created havoc is a distant memory

Wedid perfectly fine when he went to the AFCON last season, don't see any different this season.
