in an interview for the offical magazine/ website last season he stated he prefers to play a more defensive role. if thats the case why cant/ doesnt he tackle? why doesnt he chase the ball down when hes lost it like carlos does or other box to box MF?
he is also shit in the air. how many header has he ever won?

Oh my goodness, There's Waaaaaaaaaaaaaay more to Yaya than just running through the centre. You really need to understand what he does before criticising him.
The point about his aerial inferiority I 100% agree with. Although he wins headers, he does need to improve his heading ability. A part of his game Mancini is attempting to exploit.

im not criticising it just frustrates the snot out of me cause i know if he just perfected those points he would dominate MF like veira & keane used to.

No, I think he scored just before the half, goal is marked at 45' and didn't come back into the game.

Blumers Bloomers said:Can I be controversial and say that I'm still not convinced on Yaya? He'll obviously always have legendary status because of the two Wembley goals but nowhere near consistent enough, never looks fit, steaming runs forward are great but then he's taken out of the game for 10 minutes whilst he recovers, as pointed out above little if any ability in the air. For someone that tall and strong, should be completely dominating the midfield for me - can count the number of games he did this last season on one hand. Even Anderson/Carrick ran rings around him last week ffs.
I'm hoping this season he'll find his stride (Kompany and NDJ far more effective in their respective seasons) but still got a lot to do to convince me that he's so called world class

Hmmm.... Well, I would say world class is when you're ability and uniqueness restricted to about 5-8 players in the world.
The steaming runs are pretty much uncontested. Ramires is the only one I know who's comparable (lots of potential there). Seriously, your asking the impossible.
To be honest, no one really stood up to the plate on sunday. It was a shocking performance from the team. I'll concede that his aerial play (although OK) should be alot better though. It's certainly above average though. Just not 'Dzeko/Mario' like. Which is what we need.
But ask yourself this, who else could do what Yaya could? a few...
If that's not world class, what is?

are you his wife! fuck me mate lighten up its not just me saying hes not fit enough. or he cant jump. or he cant tackle

Let's just agree to disagree then. However, trust me, if you approached an observant supporter they'd say Yaya's contribution to the team is alot more than just his 30 yard runs and recuperation.

That same observer would probably also agree that he goes missing at points in most games and hardly ever puts in a tackle
