i don't think it would be for a while.

sorry for the confusion...he did say at the beginning of the "we want to win the CL" ....but by the end he was pretty clear about giving the statement after world cup

No need fella unless he said the last week was a brain fart by his agent and he is committed to City and he will not leave on pain of death then it doesn't matter what came out of his precious little mouth

Re: Yaya Toure

If the statements on here are correct I take it as non-committal.

He's not said he is upset and wants to go and he's not said everything is great and wants to stay. Anything else is interpretation.

Re: Yaya Toure

I'm in the not arsed group stays great goes I wish him well and we will get a replacement we move on as club like always

'We' probably refs to him and his agent

Re: Yaya Toure

He is dammed if he does and dammed if he doesn't.

1) If he said staying at city that would have basically shown his agent up for what he is and brought discredit on Toure for backing him earlier.

2) If he says I won't be at city then he would cause a major rift between him and club and given he has three years left on a contract he only signed last year that could affect his position.

By being non committal it does nothing other than bides him more time to think which way he wants to play it, I read he was schedulled for a meeting with Khaldoon so maybe if he has had that Khaldoon has told him to keep stum, 7 weeks is a long time in football by the time he comes back hopefully cakegate will be forgotten.

Re: Yaya Toure

I suppose after making an utter fool of himself very recently by going on about the "poor treatment of him" by City I suppose he would make himself look a bigger fool if he announced tonight that everything is fine between him and City.

Hopefully behind the scenes the club without belittleing itself is in touch with him to make him see sense.
