Whilst Yaya has been a bit of a dick, and his agent a complete wanker, he is a far better man and player than Suarez, who said a lot worse about liverpool and was vehement about leaving, and look what value they got out of the fucker this season by letting the club and the player sort things out. I would assume the club take stuff like this with a very large pinch of salt and will have had a word with Yaya in the background, and will move on, whereas BlueMoon explodes in a sense of righteous indignation. Time to move on I think, let it blow over, and let the club do what it thinks is right (which hopefully is to remind Yaya, quietly and in private, of his responsibilities)
It's just the hard work Txiki and Pellegrini have put into the holism and putting an end to the negative stories coming out from within this past year...then this happens.
If this was three years ago, or even this time last year, I don't think I'd be as pissed off but we've been all about harmony and all being in it together as one this season. This doesn't fit into that ethos at all.
That's my problem with it, not that he wants a better deal, just that he's undone a great deal of hard work put in away from the pitch to change the image of this club. It's been one step forward and two steps back in that respect, especially with the timing of it and the way he's said "wait until after the World Cup" which will certainly make it drag on and on for weeks.
