Re: Yaya Toure

Makes total business sense to get rid of him now and get a decent fee out of it

At the end of the day, if he stays now it will be a season filled with people questioning whether he really wants to be here, and then at the end of next season he is 32 and unless he eclipses his performance this season we aren't going to get anywhere near the fee we could get this summer

I'd much rather make some money out of the disrespectful thundercunt this summer, than have a season of him sulking and then fucking off for half the money next summer

Anyone that thinks theres any going back from this is deluded

any truth in chat about a yaya to barca and cesc to us deal tolm?

Not at this stage, certainly not the last week, despite people linking us with Fabregas.

The Yaya situation may have caught us on our heels, so anything is possible.

It is something I could live with, but Vidal is someone I would like to see try and fill the void.

A lot of emphasis needs to be focused on Fernando. If we can establish what his attributes are, then a creative type in Fabregas, we might be able to get away with.

I think Barca have already done the tapping up with Toure, following our game earlier this season.

It's hard to define a cash price for Toure, when you couple his peak season against his age.

Which is why the Fabregas deal would make plenty of sense, in terms of not having to wait until after the World Cup, to put an agreement in place.

Whether he would come, is another matter, although I am certain Txiki is already very close to his family.

Febregas would have a lot of friends in Manchester.

I spoke with someone in PM about the Fabregas rumours gaining momentum and i think it's a big possibility with the way things are playing out?

I haven't read all of the thread but has anyone mentioned it's a possibility City signed Yaya last summer with this in mind, it wouldn't be the first or last time it's happened?

The interest from PSG is nothing new?

I could see the Fabregas deal becoming something of a self-fulfilling prophecy?

Sometimes this happens in football, 2+2 can actually make four.

It's an easier deal to conclude because both clubs can agree before the World Cup and then claim who got the better end of the deal.

I am also aware Txiki went on record in Spain, last month, suggesting he would take Fabregas "in a heartbeat" should he be made available.

It all stacks up, and I have already suggested that we might have pulled a flanker by letting Seluk think he had strong-armed us into a new four-year deal last summer.

There's only two clubs he could end up at, Barca or Paris, Yaya knows it, we know it.

I believe the sale of Yaya is being allowed to permeate, thanks to his stupid sanctioning of his agent.

For City, if Paris want to gatecrash a Fabregas deal, we get top dollar, but Barca would then play hard ball on a fee throughout the summer.

All roads lead to Barca IMO.

edit: to take this through to a conclusion as to whether Fabregas would actually be receptive to Manchester?

Silva, Navas, Negredo, Nasri, Clichy, Sagna, Van Persie, Mata, De Gea.

Sounds too good to be true.

"But I have always thought it would be nice to experience Italy. When, I do not know."

Dzeko has just said words to the affect of what Toure has said...
And Milner hasn't exactly come out and said he's committed to the club in recent weeks either.

Toure's story has just been allowed to boil which means that people looking to be MORALLY OUTRAGED have jumped on it.
Yes, those three scenarios are exactly the same.

FFS!

Re: Yaya Toure

If the 3rd tiers were already on each end of the stadium the ground would look much bigger and Toure would stay. ;-?

Why does Yaya say one minute that he'll talk after the World Cup but then continues to share his views playing for other clubs PRIOR to the World Cup? What's all that shit about???

I guess because PSG are Qatar owned and that he was in Qatar, he was trying to be diplomatic
