Re: Yaya Toure

If he wants to go, anything over 30m and I'd be happy. 31, signed a new contract last year and just had the best season of his career.

if his heart isnt in it then i say we should sell. 50mil for a 30+ aged player is very good business in my eyes. yes he would be a very big loss, but if he stays and doesnt really want to be here, then his performances will surely drop and he may well become a liability. No player is bigger than the club. Id be more gutted if Merlin said he wanted to leave.
I agree with all of that, but the fee won't be anywhere near 50m. I reckon we'll get 35m tops.

Unless it's PSG, I think we'll do well to get £25m

Did Txiki think twice when unloading Kolo?

I wonder if this played its part in changing Yaya's attitude to the club ? (It's probably already been suggested, but I am not going back over 500+ pages to check...)
If it did then he's even softer than I gave him credit for. Kolo was out of contract, wasn't playing regular first-team football, was available on a free (thereby boosting his wages) and didn't even need to move house. They've spent most of their careers living in different countries, so I doubt any of this is really a factor.

I agree with you to a point, however, Yaya might have been less willing to behave like an arsehole with his kid in town.

Anyway, I don't think we will be letting Yaya go unless there is a stupendous offer.

Good - so we'll let the club deal with the matter, lock the thread before the Stepford Wives finish screaming at absent fathers on Jeremy Kyle and come on here suggesting new tortures, and go to Wetherspoons as it's fucking awful outside.
I'll get them in.

The Huntington Post has a better handle on the goings on at our club than the MUEN. For what it's worth I doubt we will sell but I bet we are exploring swap options with Barca and PSG.

Why's our Player of the Year not at the top of the page?

I asked that earlier, he won the poll by a landslide

Despite all his bellyaching, he should be up there.

We are Manchester City, no need to be petty and small time like Leeds were with Alan Smith.

We won the title - MCFC, not YYFC - so I think that supersedes that twat and putting him up there would be yet another example of the petty and small time sesame street one of these things is not like the others attitude where our acts or omissions are conditioned by others cos we don't want anyone to say bad things about us mummy.

I know more than the MEN do about what's going on ... City have named a price for Yaya. Lets see if anyone comes to the party.
