I think Fernando would allow Fernandinho to play Yayas role (if for some reason Yaya wasn't playing).

Fernandinho definitely has the quality to play further forward, and I think we signed Fernando with that in mind. There's no way we'll let Toure go without replacing him though. His departure would leave a big void in the squad.

no but I think we have a lot of options to choose from, we can reshape our midfield how we want if Yaya goes and although we lose the prowess of Yaya, it's not like AK and others aren't good at free kicks or penalties, and passing as well, yes Yaya is magnificent when he wants to be but we can get more out of other players by reshaping the side and bringing in a younger alternative, I think we've had the best of Yaya because regardless of his physical decline that will happen, his head clearly isn't in it.

I am 100% certain that Fernando is better than YaYa at defending and passing the ball 40 yards to feet.
YaYa is far better at attacking mind.

Yaya is head and shoulder our best passer of the footballer. Fernando is not in yayas class at anything from what I have seen of him ( which is admittedly limited )

Defending and not talking shite about our club theres 2

Yaya is a very intelligent defender and a lot better at it than people give him credit for. If all he did was defend like Fernando then I reckon he would be fantastic at it. He has pace, power and intelligence, plus his distribution is magnificent.

In regards to talking shit about us, you need to appreciate that Yaya is not a Manchester City fan. Playing for us is just his job. Now none of us know what has gone on behind the scenes. If you were unhappy at your job, would you keep quiet just to pacify other people?

Yaya will get the benefit of the doubt from me. He has obviously gone through a traumatic time having to watch his younger brother die of cancer. His latest outburst sounded to me like he was feeling guilty and just lashed out. Unfortunately we have all probably seen a loved one or somebody close die of cancer. It affects everyone close to the person. Yaya gets every sympathy from me at the minute as losing your brother at 28 must be very difficult to accept.

Re: Yaya Toure

I try to keep an open mind re Yaya's rants, but he (or his manager) come up with some ridiculous excuses such as not wishing him happy birthday. Maybe I'm being harsh, but why go play in Brazil when his brother is terminally ill with advanced stage of cancer?

My question to everyone is: Is Yaya going to be Pellegrini's Tevez? Is it not enough that he is paid $240,000 A WEEK to play one or two games of football? Is he going to have a tantrum and refuse to go on the pitch as a substitute or just mail it in as he did in the FA Cup game v. Wigan?

Yaya is a man of tremendous soccer talent. I just hope his level of integrity is on the same level as his football.

What kind of logic is that?
I doubt any of our players are city fans they still don't act up.

I lost my grandfather who i was very close to due to cancer but never lashed out at anyone else verbally or otherwise.

If i was unhappy at my job i would find another and give notice like any reasonable person would, why would you act up like a baby?

Your post is complete tripe imo.

Re: Yaya Toure

Yaya Toure is behaving in this manner, because he knows that he isnt part of City's long term plans. Further more the management know that he knows. This is the reason why there is a silence about the matter. The plan as been made and City will stick to it. Yaya for all his and his leech's rantings will have to put up with whatever the management decide. We the fans will reap the eventual benefit from all this with new players and a freshness about the team. I'm confident all will turn out well.

Re: Yaya Toure

The club's silence on the matter is so welcome. It is a dignified response and allows Yaya to grieve properly, without media attention, if that is his genuine issue.

If grief is not the underlying problem then city's stance also shows that we will not be deflected from our plan. It shows that Yaya is only a part of the team and nothing more.

Either way, City just look utterly professional.

Re: Yaya Toure

Will probably stay for a year on the promise that he can leave next summer. Get a decent season out of him, 20m and then buy pogba or Vidal when we don't have these financial restrictions above us.

Exactly it is your opinion. You are basing your opinions on how you would react due to your personality. Different people react differently to situations. Yaya has already shown he is capable of lashing out physically at people over trivial things on a football pitch due to him being hot headed.
None of us know what has gone on behind the scenes. But Yaya gets the benefit of the doubt from me at present. Just because you may be able to keep calm and composed after seeing your brother die then fair enough, I would hope that I would remain dignified if god forbid the same thing happened to me. But I have seen enough people behave in a far worse manner after losing a loved one than Yaya has behaved when suffering a loss. If there was ever a time when you could go a bit mad in life and behave a bit irrationaly then surely it would be when you lost your brother.
Lets be honest here, he has nit stuck his teeth into anyone or refused to play has he? Yes Yaya could probably have been a bit more dignified. But as stated, none of us know what has really gone on.
