Great passing and vision. Holds the ball really well when he receives it

But he's our midfield player who joins the forwards and he's not fit enough to do this over 90 mins.

Get Yaya fit, and in the meantime play Milner in that role

Isnt there already a thread on him?

If he isnt fit then why is this as he has been with us since July

but.......but.......he's on £220,000 a week, for that he should be assisting every game, you know cos he is like a robot?

Yaya has had a shock imo, he never had to do the graft he does now at barca he got the ball and passed it to xavvi/iniesta the odd dribble now and again. Here he's playing a driving forward role have to get up and down the pitch which is clearly not his game imo. He had it easy at barca.

Because we're not doing double training sessions

Utd were fitter than us in the Derby, and Toure's inability to play at full pace for 90 mins is affecting his game, and can be put right easily

I hope the coaching staff are looking at this

If Adam Johnson was doing what Yaya was doing in the Derby on Wednesday then he would have been clapped and cheered. But because it's Yaya and everyone expects him to be immense in EVERY minute of EVERY game, he gets booed. Today, he was spreading passes from the middle out wide and every time they found the feet of the receiver.

I'm not a Yaya doubter or a Yaya outer. He WILL be our best buy in the next few years imo.

Both Yaya and Milner recieve undue flak whilst being played in positions that do not best suit their qualities.
The answer for me is simple and - although I rate him - Barry is the fall guy.

De Jong holds.

Yaya plays the Barry role (but with license to continue with his driving runs)

Milner is given the current Yaya role.

this man after the final whistle went over to tunnell as far as he could and waited for the players to come and the managers to go through and he shouted to mancini 'fuck off you itallian ****' then he said somet to platt and platt just laughed and walked down tunnel. then he shouted at a couple of more players and then went to yaya toure and give him aload of shit and yaya just looked shocked haa he prob said somet about the money hes on, but i couldnt really hear it properly, but why did he after do that!!!!!!!!!! why cant fans just get behind the team, doing that is not going to help at all!!!!

With games every few days you need to rotate players, but Barry and De Jong's best positions are both in front of the back 4 so if everyone's fit and 100% I'd agree. Yaya Toure doesn't have the stamina to play the box to box midfielder. he seems to have the same problems as Carew, Richards, and Harewood in that they are big men who will never be able to sprint and recover immediately. I'm sure he can improve a little bit on he training pitch, but I am beginning to think that Milner should be given the box to box role, and Balotelli should get the wide forward role

He's currently a liability and doesn't work enough

A. When we don't have the ball

B. When he personally doesn't have the ball.

NDJ was running round like a blue arsed fly trying to cover the entire Birmingham midfield whilst he picked his arse in the centre circle, Johnson got chalk on his boots, Silva wandered trying to unlock and Milner stood watching, longing to be in the centre.

If he applied himself, as he has in spurts them he is the complete midfielder.
