If Adam Johnson was doing what Yaya was doing in the Derby on Wednesday then he would have been clapped and cheered. But because it's Yaya and everyone expects him to be immense in EVERY minute of EVERY game, he gets booed. Today, he was spreading passes from the middle out wide and every time they found the feet of the receiver.

I'm not a Yaya doubter or a Yaya outer. He WILL be our best buy in the next few years imo.

i would be happy if he was just good in every game . imo hes not been good enough and needs to stop feeling sorry for himself and get stuck in , hes starting to piss me off actually

Maybe he's trying to get a 2nd wind when he stops? I think he had genuine problems in keeping up with the tempo after he has made a surge upfield. He's a big big man, and his physiology may not lend itself to the role he's been asked to play. Just speculating of course. I think he's a top quality player, but he's playing a very different game now to what he played at Barca

Last season by this time Kolo was absolute rubbish who should've never been bought according to some on here and that's for someone who had been playing in the PL for over five years, now we can't keep a clean sheet without him. It's now Yaya's turn.

I hope you're right. Kolo Toure has been magnificent this season.

But everyone demands instant success. I'm not sure what is possible, but certainly we can hope for steady improvement

I see it like this . Is Yaya playing badly ..No . Average ..Just like Barry . Then why is he being bashed after evrytime . after every game ..BECAUSE IN A TEAM CONSISTING OF PLAYERS LIKE TEVEZ,KOMPANY,DEJONG .. YAYA IS THE HIGHEST EARNING PLAYER IN THE TEAM . WE MADE HIM ONE OF THE HIGHEST PAID PLAYERS IN THE WORLD AND NOW HE HAS TO STAND UP TO THAT REPUTATION ...OR LEAVE ..With financial regulations coming we cant afford to pay 200k to someone for average performances ..Work wid ichael johnson for soe days and he would give the same o/p as yaya in the same position .
Yaya has to raise the standard of his game ..or else we cant afford to have an average giant midfielder on 200 k just because he gives us pysical presence

When he gets his motor on, we've seen him tear mids apart!! You build your stamina stepping up to the speed of the Prem. Look at Balo, not slow by any means, but even he was shocked by the pace and hardness of the league. Same with Silva. Even now, Silva still gets caught here and there when he thinks he's bought himself time!

The solution to get him fit is to take him out of the team and get him to the level you want, but then, you will only moan that the quality has gone from the middle!

Yaya is getting the same kind of stick that many fans on here gave Tevez at the beginning of last season (slightly better Paul Dickov as I remember).
The entire team need time to adjust, getting 4th - this is what this season is about, then we can push on.
p.s we're 3 points clear in 4th with easier games than Manure/Chelsea/Arse/Spuds to come.

Great passing and vision. Holds the ball really well when he receives it

But he's our midfield player who joins the forwards and he's not fit enough to do this over 90 mins.

Get Yaya fit, and in the meantime play Milner in that role
