yaya.....

Cracking video.

FOr the record, who was the no=mark journo/pundit who took the piss out of us for signing Yaya in the first place ... said he'd 'never heard of him/what's he ever done' kinda thing?

It was only Mike Parry on Talkshite. He makes a living deliberately saying daft things and is not to be taken too seriously

It was actually Mike Graham from Talksport, Parry, since sacked was also involved in the same interview and made similar disparaging remarks. Graham now does the middle of the night shift. Me like many others no longer listen to the station.

They've re-hired him in a sort of cameo role type arrangement. I like him as he doesn't take himself too seriously.

As regards Yaya, I'd like to think there's done serious succession planning going on in the background. I reckon he's got one more season at most.

Some people might not agree with letting Yaya go to PSG but I think it will be the right move in the long run. As we move towards a more intensive pressing approach, a younger player would have the necessary energy to cope with the demands. Moreover, it will also mean there will be less competition for Pogba who will probably be the best replacement. That said, nothing is confirmed yet and winning trophies this season should be the no.1 priority.

Mike Graham ... no-mark!

Thanks, blueyorkie!

I believe Yaya does not like to rule anything out, he has always been the same way. He was leaving us directly after we won the league, then also again last year, until he signed his contract extension. I believe as long as we are playing this way, not many of the current squad can see any benefit in being elsewhere, especially if we can go further in the Champions League. The great thing above all of this though, we have been able to perform when everyone in the squad has been absent, we no longer must have Aguero or Yaya in the team to win.
