booking players for celebrating scoring a goal is probably the worse

and stupidest rules in football !

Yer get booked for celebrating, yer get booked for what Zab did yesterday (although he wasn't booked), any two and yer haven't laid a boot on any player and yer off! Scholes, Fellaini, Robinson, Cattermole (although refs have his number), Shawcross, all attempt some form of amputation during a match and escape with one booking, or sometimes none.

A further law change should be that you only get sent off for contact of one form or another with opposition players (or yer own if Rooney fancies giving Fletcher a smack after his world class performance in the wall!) . No one should be dismissed for what I would call technical offences - kicking the ball away, over-elaborate celebrations. These are all sin-bin offences - ten minutes, and further offences when you come back on result in a doubling of the time until effectively you are in the sin-bin till full time. Violent play and yer off, but sending players off for what is effectively a puff of air, is stupid.
