In Oldham's team (going off the programme listing - which as someone pointed out was often drawn up during the week before the game) came David Cross, Kenny Clements, Mark Ward, Roger Palmer and Tony Henry, making up half of their outfield players who were ex-City, or in Ward's case, would play for us in the not-to-distant future.

I wonder if there are many instances were teams that are locally situated have fielded half or more of their team who have played for the other side?

(as although there are often many connections, not all the players who have played for different clubs are available for selection at the same time against their former employers)

Any thoughts?

I guess the above was helped by us yo-yo-ing a little in between divisions & Oldham having good relations with us.. as we even pinched their manager not too long after this game was played!

Probably when the rags pinched most of our team, after we were caned over back hand payments to players. The arse and arry had better lawyers than us.
