Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge

Tomorrow I am doing the Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge. 25 miles hiking taking in the 3 peaks, to be completed in under 12 hours. Anyone else done it? Any advice?

No I'm not. I just dont like the modern way of speaking that has seen people needlessly start their sentences with that word. Nothing to do with grammar

Good sturdy boots
Corned beef butties
A flask of piping hot bovril
A serviceable hat
Clean underwear in case you have to be rescued

Good luck with the walk mate, and most of all enjoy it.
 
Take a comfy pair of trainers! I did a 16 mile hike a few months back and all I was thinking after the first 12 miles was I really wanted to swap my boots for my trainers!

A second thought occurs. If misty, take a compass. Ingleboro has some treacherous drops. Assuming you have a decent map.
 
I did it last year in 10 hours.
It’s pretty achievable at walking pace providing you do minimal stops.
We did the route in reverse with Whernside first, then it’s a long walk out to Pen’y Ghent.
Standard stuff really, don’t take too much with you. Good boots . There’s a huge amount of walking on flat which is what really hits you. Just over a marathon in total distance

Iodine for your feet, and Radox for your bath. Used to be in the regimental cambrian march team. We did the highland way for a warm up, 154k in four days. Can still feel the pain when i think about it.
 
I did it in 9.40 but didn’t really stop for any length of time. My dog was happy when it was over and slept for about 2 days solid enjoy mate it’s a great walk
