For answer Three Hackett says that the whistle must be blown as soon as the ball connects with the bag. Shouldn't this be the same with Baloongate meaning the goal never should have stood.
 
Yeah Michael Ball kicked the shit out of a balloon and missed the ball. I'm not sure if the ball ever hit the balloons because they were all over the place and it was difficult to see.

From what I remember anyway. It was over a year ago.

definitely hit the balloons strongly and was even slighlty deflected(!).

whatever hackett says it would take a strong referee to have disallowed the goal. (although if the balloons were red and white?)
