Cup for me.
The importance of the CL is being grossly overplayed for my liking. Our financial power means we effectivally share many of the benifits of the CL (noodles of cash and publicity) without the bother of having to listlen to ITV's sh*t commentators fawning over us. Also, if and when we do start to dominate Europe I want it when we are THE dominent force in domestic football as, in my humble opinion, it was always meant to be in the glory days of Liverpool, Forest and Villa, not that money-raking mockery of a competition/cartel we have now thanks to Platini, Blatter et al. And don't come "but the players won't come if we're not in it" balls. They will. Money talks and that money is getting less and less, a'la Rags and Dippers and plenty of others. It is a competition made by whores for whores. No thanks. But a domestic cup - League or FA - will open the door to many more, it will be a weight of our minds and a 34-year monkey off our backs. Next the title. Our club should aspire to win things in a different way, not simply lust after the fools gold which blinded United to leave the FA cup one year (I know that was the World Club whatever but they all spring from this CL crap) and which cheapens and disrespects the millions of football fans in our country (the mother-country of the game) by forcing them to watch a very few rich and powerful teams dominate everything and everyone in sight for no better reason than finishing second, third or bloody forth in a domestic league. For me the whole CL represents everything that is wrong with the beautiful game in this country. I would sooner make a stand, win a place in the CL and the refuse it.
Personally, and you may not be surprised at this, I don't care a flying fcuk for the CL, shove it where the sun doesn't shine for my money. City 'Champions of England' will mean more to me once that 10 CL winners on the bounce and I mean that.
