you made me proud

I had a quality day all round - Shambles from 2 til 4, inflatables, music, laughing with ze Germans, then made my way to the Townley, few pints with some top notch Blues, sat in Citizens with Jeff, never met him before, top bloke - great second half, spoke with a young lad outside Picadilly who was with 4/2 Commando and just back from Afghanistan, that did it for me. Then got on the train to Northwich with a superb family who gave me beer and laughs, OK we went out, had a go second half but what a day - we have the best fans in the world.
 
It was an honour and a privilege to be with the other 47,008 of you tonight. Thank you for making it a great night in the stands.
 
Agreed. So glad I can come back on here and say I was proud of the team tonight. We could have gone through with a bit more luck. It's been a long day but am feeling positive about the future, especially our brilliant brazilians.Well done everyone for the support. I can hardly talk.
 
Fantastic atmosphere, everyone really got behind the lads and the lads did put in a great performance, it's just a shame we couldn't grab one more goal. More of the same for the rest of the season now and we'll hopefully have a strong finish.

We were simply awesome tonight as were our fans, best atmosphere ever at the COMS. We may have gone out tonight but I feel people from all over the world who watched this will realise this club is really going places now.
Potential summer targets would have seen tonight that this team has the quality to mix it with the best of them and has superb fans to match and will want to be part of it. So proud to be a Blue, 10/10.

I only saw the match on TV here in Germany.
So I got only a little impression but must say
the atmosphere and the fighting spirit of the team reminded me of 1997
when we won the UEFA Cup.
City deserved more than "just" a 2:1 win
