Had it in France, Italy and the Netherlands, often the type of places that sell Double and Triple Diamond on draft and John Bull Bitter in bottles.Never seen Newcastle Brown Ale on draft before.

£7.84 a pint equivalent there.
I’ll try a pint of that out of curiosity if I stumble across it. Checked out the website of the pub the other guy posted the drinks list of though and it’s only open 5-11 pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, which isn’t much use.
Has got some good reviews, and looks to have a good selection of beers. Pie and chips will set you back about £23, but it'll be the same everywhere.Mr Pickwicks seems to be main English pub and that opens at 11.30am
That the 7am flight? We're on the Manchester to Cologne flight on Tuesday return Thursday. Train to Bern has cost us £105 return with Trainline.
If anyone is looking for accommodation there are still vacancies at Hotel Glocke. It's a hostel in the city centre but looks alright. Prices are about as reasonable as it gets in Bern
I posted about those Bären a month or so ago, and was told how expensive they would be. It does look wunderschön.Anyone going to Barengraben? When watching Young Boys in Bern, erm, what else is there to do?

11 Swiss Franks to get in that part of the zoo. Looking at going there. That's a price of a pint, or so. Or ten in the Working Man's Club.I posted about those Bären a month or so ago, and was told how expensive they would be. It does look wunderschön.
