A Johnson, Silva, Barry, Milner, Vieira, Toure Y, De Jong, Kompany, SWP, Etuhu - M Johnson won't be fit until Oct/Nov so what's the point in putting him in at this stage as you can change the 25 in Jan '11 anyway

3 keepers, 8 defenders, 10 midfielders, 4 centre forwards

Balo, Ibrahim, Cunningham, Boyata, Nimely etc are all under 21 so don't need to be named this season - gives us a usable squad of around 30

I'd agree if we were short of spaces but we seem to be having difficuluty arriving at 25 names.

We may as well name a squad that we can use in both the Premier League and in the Europa League, so we're going to have to include 4 players who qualify as being trained by the club. We already have two in most people's squads, Richards and Wright Phillips. There is no point naming players under the age of 21 in the squad as they are deemed as supplementary players, so we'll also likely include two of either M.Johnson, Logan, Vidal, or Etuhu.

My guess would be: Hart* / Given* / Taylor* / Kolarov / Bridge* / Richards*° / Boateng / Zabaleta / Logan*° / K.Toure / Kompany / Lescott* / A.Johnson* / Wright Phillips*° / Milner* / Silva / Y.Toure / Vieira / Barry* / De Jong / M.Johnson*° / Tevez / Adebayor / Jo / Santa Cruz
