Your 5 pen takers for Sunday?

I remember making a thread two years ago before the semi against the rags asking whether or not everyone's ticker could handle a shoot out against that lot as I was convinced the game would be a stalemate. Thank f*ck for Yaya!

Zabba (Think he will be good under the pressure)

Being good under pressure isn't always a recipe for success. Batty, Southgate, Pearce & Terry were all fairly strong characters.

Have they said if they've practised pens?

If Tevez and Dave Silva start the game I doubt very much they will still be on the pitch after a 120 minutes. So I'd go

Aguero
Milner
Barry
Kompany
Clichy

firstly, I'd rather have Hart than Pants in on Saturday, for the match and pens.

Re our 5 potential 5. Isnt it extra time before any penalties? if so, Mancini has said Sergio isnt 100% fit so cant see him being on the pitch after 90 mins and an extra 30 mins
If they are all still on the pitch

Aguero
Milner
Tevez
Nasri
Zabba

Never seen Nasri or Zab take pens but I think both would be calm enough and hit the ball well.
Look at the goals that Zab scored against United and Stoke when he could have blasted anywhere but were two excellent finishes

Suck that Roman !
Anelka?
After shitting himself in Moscow and waiting til 7th to take one v Rags and then virtually backpassing to van der Sar he can 'k right off :)

The first Rag penalty that night was converted by one Carlos Tevez.

Kun Tevez Barry Milner Vinny

Nasri Hart Zab (if required)

Then pray we Hart/Pantilimon save at least two. I'd worry if anyone other than the 4 above had to take one.

Tevez tends to just twat it, which makes me anxious. Dzeko messes anything up when he has time to think about it, much better at finishing instinctively. Silva can barely reach the net from 12 yards out. Vinnie thinks he's Pirlo so would probably try a Panenka, but he's not Pirlo so he'd fuck it up. Clichy's possibly the worst finisher in the squad. Kolarov would either roast it into the roof of the net, or the roof of the stadium. I've never seen Garcia take a penalty but can't imagine he'd be that good. Don't even mention Lescott or Kolo.

If there had to be a fifth, by process of elimination it'd be between Yaya, Zabba and Nastasic. I've included Nastasic because he's cool as fuck on the ball so I have this image of him stepping up ala Balotelli and just rolling it into a corner, but he's probably never taken one so it'd be a big risk. I'm sure Zabba could score one but he's the one that cares the most and the pressure/emotion might just be too much, and I don't know why but I just feel uncomfortable about Yaya taking a penalty. He's our best all round player, so maybe it's me thinking he can't be good at everything so he must be shit at penalties, I don't know, it just troubles me.

In fact, I'm sweating just thinking about penalties, just win it in 90 minutes please lads.
Where the fuck did you get that from?

Just a little joke my brother and I have because Kompany often tries very ambitious passes and rarely pulls them off. His lovely ball to Silva on Monday being a rare exception.

Maybe we were losing in extra time and mancini decided to go for broke. Like he did v sporting Lisbon in the UEFA cup. Did we finish with 4 strikers that night ?

AND on that flimsy basis - you'd tell the proposed penalty takers that this was the proposed list??????? No, didnt think so.............
I didn't say that was a basis for picking 5 takers . You asked how could 3 strikers conceivably be on the pitch at the end. I offered a scenario where it could happen. P.S. answering your own question on behalf of someone else, is a very annoying trait. Comprende ? No, didn't think so . See what I mean ?

only annoying if you're wrong - and you were.................. (done it again for you).
