Rita was Deniro's Mrs down Reality St., in this film he played a shit wannabe comedian who had decided to stalk Jerry in the hope of engratiating himself to some success...he invited himself and the local barmaid to Jerrys for the weekend unbeknowns to Jerry. A very funny film, the script was being touted around the streets of NY for $4k when the seller/writer bumped into Scorsese.
