Ive always loved this. English composer Edward Elgars "Nimrod" ......You will probably know it, its 4 minutes long.
Its part of his Enigma Variations.
Each variation was written to describe his friends musically. Nimrod is a fabled biblical hunter, which Elgar thought described the personality of A Jaeger, one of his best friends.

Its called "Enigma" because Elgar said every movement was based on a much more famous melody, up to date no-one has definitively worked out what.

Sounds particularly good on headphones.

Can’t believe this bastardization of Handel’s “Zadok the Priest” hasn’t been posted and hailed as the most beloved of all classical music.

Not only is it the glorious, much loved, anthem for The Champions League, it is based on Handel’s Coronation Anthem, used for the British monarchy since the early 1700s!

It’s a Bluemoon TWOFER!!
