Doesn't just sound great but the lyrics are brilliant too.
 
I'm with you there. I heard there's talk of them finding a new one? Thought I may have heard that. Besides the Russians I do find the German anthem quite nice as well.
 
The French of course but also the Italian,anything where a man sticks his chest out and is near to tears,as much as i love this country i think our anthem is dire,maybe get fatboy slim to jazz it up abit or whatever the kids call it these days

As an Englishman I don't have an national anthem.

But I do think the UK's national anthem is the best.

It is entirely cynical and downbeat.

In a half hearted way, to a dull tune, we sing the praises of monarch who has no real power over us.

That'll do for me.
