On occation I've had to listen in twice just to absorb his aurotory message, but thats because he's so god damn intelligent and I'm not. Hitchens is one of the most articulate characters I have ever read, watched or imbibed of. I wouldn't say I was a closet fawner persay, but more an admirer of his oratory skilset.

Not too sure on his polital mindset, known the world over for his trotskyism stance and leanings. A bit too advanced for me was that Trosky fellah, but led to believe rik mayell held him in high esteem and that'll do for me. Speaking of Ric, not a single mention concerning our Moon creator as without him you'd all be chatting shit on Mumsnet.

Not a prolific reader but managed all of Mortality and a smidgeon over half Of God Isn't Great. Also far too much of his you tube-blogs than can be good for the soul : /

Speaking of Mortality, here's one of his final interveiws with Paxman before passing away from osophical cancer.
Safe journey Christopher and a courageous soul to the end.

Re Pascals wager ..the reason churches are full of old people.

Frank Skinner, Gareth Bale, Morrissey. Once the latter performs at Liverpool Empire then I’ve seen all three live.

I'm going to add Eugene Cernan too. He commanded Apollo 17 and was the last man to walk on the moon.

If you're even half-interested in this stuff, and have never seen it, then "The Last Man on the Moon" is available on Amazon Prime.

My Nan, she was great and the matriarch of our family.

My Niece, the third of my Sister’s four kids, she’s a little cutie.

Family, lovers, friends and sports people apart:
Judith Durham (lead singer in The Seekers, loveliest voice and teenage crush.)
My old History teacher Bryan Cowgill (R.I.P.)
Boudicca
William Blake
Gustavus Adolphus, King of Sweden early 1600s.
Barack Obama.

John Coltrane

One of the greatest musicians who ever lived, a true virtuoso and writer of deep philosophical music.
And a wonderful deep thinking man. I hero worship this guy.

I hired a kid a few years ago (mid 20's) I love the young fella like he was my own kid.
He's from a broken family and I just like having the young un be around. So polite and respectful, I want him to find a spouse, I know he'd like a family.
Just sayin
