Also want to mention Elton John because, although I'm no fan of his music, his voice is unique and rarely impersonated. Especially when compared to the sheer amount of nightclub Elvis' and Sinatras out there.

I've not really got a favourite one singer.

Maybe it's a sign of getting abit older and listening to different music but I think Bobby Darin was a brilliant performer with an amazing voice,he sounded good no matter what style of song he sang.

Luther Vandross for me (his cover of a house is not a home is awesome).

Was impressed by James Brown at the coms a couple of years ago and on a personal level although not 'great' singers I really enjoy listening to Anthony Kiedis and Ziggy.
