In this weird tangent to reality, Tevez plays in Silva's role because he can shoot hard and accurately from outside the box and make powerful runs and be a tiger fighting for the ball (Nasri can't/won't get stuck in so will be a passenger defensive wise); and Barry plays instead of DeJong cos he's taller for defensive corners (same reason Yaya and Dzeko start ahead of others).

I hate leaving out DeJong and Silva but... :-)

For me this would see the front 4 so to speak all floating and rotating. We know Carlos isn't a lead striker in terms of staying static, he drops deep, moves around and this will allow the other 3 to move around. Very difficult for the opposition to mark but also needs discipline from our lot to have somebody as a focus point when required.

Just take a few seconds to look at our front 4 on this formation ........ I dont care but 99% of teams in Europe would want that

THIS. It's the only sensible offering so far. Im sure some posters have put ridiculous ones down for attention seeking reasons...................Unfortunately,Tevez is very unlikely to be there. So, Dzeko will play.

Though for the first few games play Dzeko up front because he is coming into a bit of goalscoring form and Aguero needs to get up to speed.

If we get Nasri then drop Milner and put Yaya there, then Nasri from the right and Silva behind the striker.
