Your honest view of every member of our squad

Defence not as bad as made out, yes we have seen errors and we have missed vinny. But key to our downfall has been a poor midfield not being strong enough and giving the ball away cheaply to put defence in trouble. Ota has had undeserved stick from all angles, if we let a goal in we look to how we can blame him, he is a very good player and once guardiola sorts out a midfield that can actually keep possession and get in position off the ball to create space we will see him get the praise he deserves.

The two Ferns don't look good together in midfield and are never going to be world beaters, can see changes to this pairing unless guardiola has a magic wand and can get more out of their game.

Bony, terrible, hope he goes on loan or far away..

Sterling, odd good game but at times I don't see a 10 million pound player in him let alone 44. He has to improve and stop giving the ball away.

KDB but for injury would have been a great first season, class player and next season will be even better.

Sergio / silva, world class, guardiola will love working with them both.

Iheanacho , totally agree with the comment above, star in the making and will flourish with how we will play next season.

Overall team needs to create and run into space off the ball, pass more accurate with more thought. Getting fed up of seeing the ball passed to a player with no space and three players round him.

There's going to be an almighty shake up this summer mainly because the man that's taking over isn't a man city fanatic so therefore isn't looking at the squad through blue tinted glasses. If all our players really were as good as we are rating them then there's no way we'd be in the predicament were in.

Hart - No need for change here, solid keeper, surely Pep can improve his distribution which is the one part of his game that lets him down.
Willy - Good bye and thanks for the cup win ( your legend is assured)
Zabaleta - Struggling at the moment although offers much more going forward than sagna.
Sagna - Good defender, poor attacking wise.
Clichy - Both left backs need replacing.
Kolorov - See Clichy.
Demi - Thank you and goodbye.
Kompany - A Colossus. will lead us to more titles going forward.
Mangala - Poor so far, pep may change that, we'll see.
Otamendi -Never rated him and seen nothing since he joined to change my mind.
Delph - Too injury prone to be of any great use to us.
Fernando -Improved of late but another who's future lies elsewhere
Fernandinho - Good solid player who will fit in to peps team.
Yaya - The great enigma, just how we replace him fuck knows. A giant of a player for us.
Silva - Genius and I for one think he will regain that status.
Nasri - He'll be kept as he holds possession well and that's a trait pep likes.
Navas -No faulting his effort and thoroughly likable but just not good enough.
Sterling - Not sure he'll ever be much of a finisher but has shown enough to think he has a future for us.
KDB - Pep will like him but he'll expect him to up his workrate.
Sergio - Superstar and will get better still under pep
Bony -Gone at the first opportunity.
Nacho -Will either become world class under pep or be gone in 12 months. Hopefully the former.
Pretty spot on this, coupled with MAV1988's age related observations.

Hart- wouldn't swap for anyone , best keeper in the league for me.

Willy- Will never be convinced move him on if we can bet someone younger and better.

Sagna- Massively improved from last year our best defender this year. Keep as back up for next year.

Zabaleta- Was painful to see how slow he was against Liverpool and Chelsea not sure if that was down to fitness but I'd move on for a younger player. Still a legend.

Kompany- Leader of men , Best centre back In the world when fit.

Demichellis- Finished.

Otamendi- Too inconsistent even during the games.

Mangala- See Otamendi

Clichy- Realiable back up player nothing better nothing worse. Seems to have his best games during a run in the team.

Kolarov. Pisses me off. Can't defend and he isn't even that good going forward.

Fernando- Limited player , does a job in a midfield 3.

Fernandinho- Our best midfielder , held back by doing a job for two.

Yaya- Been one of our best ever. Looks twice the player with Kompany in the team , Liverpool game showed me how he controls games but his days are numbered.

Delph- Haven't seen enough of him to judge due to injury and playing out of position. Squad player next year.

Nasri- Massively missed this year , underrated by City fans and has a bit of fight in him.

Navas- Impact player against tired legs , not enough end product but does a job tracking back.

Silva- Our best ever , struggling without movement infront of him and the only one looking to be creative.

De Bruyne- Effective end product player but can be careless. Build the team round him in the number 10 next year.

Sterling- Being held back but our possession play and lack of pace in midfield. Has as many good games as bad will be a different player under pep.

Aguero- Carried us for the last couple of years , Best striker in the world when fully fit.

Bony-Wank. Cut our loses never looks interested.

Iheanacho- Sharpest teen I've seen in a long time , will go on to to be a star

Agree entirely, won't make the parting any easier though. It will be a sad day when the last of them walk through the door.

I know. Players who have given us the best days of our lives as fans unless around in the Bell/Lee/Summerbee years. It's coming though and possibly sooner than we may think for some.

Unfortunately we have tried to bring in younger players to counter this already to a degree but so far they have proven to be a rung below.

We are going to have to spend a fair bit and hopefully bring through 2/3 players of our own. I think Kelechi could be a star under Pep.

The defence and midfield needs a lot of work.

Got to sterling on the OP and then gave up.

10 goals the lad has scored and apparently he been poor.

Enough for me

Proof that we are all sheep

Sterling (waste of money, must improve, technically useless): 1 goal every 3.5 appearances in possibly the worst city team over the last five years
Silva, Nasri: 1 every 6-7 appearances
Navas: 1 every 15 appearances
And just for context, "best young player ever" martial: 1 every 3.5
Walcott: 1 every 3 (a lot of them as striker)

And a high proportion of goals in the CL where he is the one key reason why city are well poised and might progress further than any of our campaigns and any of the English teams this year

And he has a tremendous work rate, more than any of these other players on this list

And he has contributed a fair share of assists - don't forget he has at least 2-3 clear penalties turned down.

And his sheer pace is a huge asset, opening up space for others.

And he is 21.

But the media wants to project him as a failure because he dared to move to little city.
And like morons we will accept what we are told and turn on one of the best, most tenacious players in our squad with huge potential.
Sheep.
Couldn't disagree more mate. Plenty on here who probably watch him play far more than they read the papers/listen to pundits.

We don't have a squad any more, after the chelsea defeat we play the best team, not using squad options....

Hart - great keeper, great character, massively important player

Sagna - arguably our most consistent player this season and would be happy to see him see out his contract before replacing him with a younger model

Zabaleta - as he's getting older his role in our squad is changing a bit but with him and Sagna we have the best right back combination in the league

Kompany - One of the best CBs in the world when fit, the difference he makes is just ridiculous

Otamendi - long term he and Kompany could be a world class partnership. He's sometimes a bit rash in coming out of position but overall I think he's looked very promising.

Mangala - always worry with him that an error isn't far away, but how he played with Kompany at start of season, and some of his performances last season show he could be a very dependable back up to Kompany and Otamendi.

Clichy - solid defender if unspectacular, home grown status also a big plus.

Kolarov - defensively not good enough and going forward he's been poor for most of this season. Deserves what he's won with us, but would sell.

Fernando - Has done a Garcia and made a significant improvement this season. A handy squad player to have but would look to replace him with an EDS player if one looks good enough.

Fernandinho - another contender for our POTY, his energy and work rate are so vital.

Delph - has done a good job when called upon, he and Fernandinho make a good partnership in the middle.

Yaya - unfortunately feel his time is up at the end of the season. Can still make a key contribution in the rest of this season though.

Navas - frustrating player at times but he provides pace and width. Like Fernando, useful squad player but would look to replace him with EDS if possible.

Silva - off the boil since his return from injury but ridiculous to suggest he's in any way finished. Movement, vision and creativity he has in abundance.

Nasri - has played his part in our recent success and will always be remembered fondly but I'd cash in on him.

De Bruyne - it's all very well tearing mid-table sides at home but need to see more from him away from home. Prior to his injury, he was playing almost every game with Silva and Nasri out and maybe we ran him into the ground a little.

Sterling - frustrating but certainly don't think anyone can suggest he's had a bad season. Have paid big for his potential.

Bony - first touch and finishing not good enough. Decent player who just isn't suited to how we play.

Kelechi - encouraging first season with two 90th minute winners and a hattrick to his name and hopefully we'll see more and more of him.

Aguero - unbelievable player.

In summary, I'd sell: Kolarov, Yaya, Nasri and Bony. Release Demichelis as well.

It's not the players, bar a couple, it's the system. Looking at some of the players, we would be a brutal counter-attacking team. KdB, Sterling, Aguero, Nacho, Navas all have it to play that game. Yaya, nasri and silva pulling the strings behind with a solid rear guard all would be good.

We can't be having rational and sensible posts on here, leave immediately ;)

Reading this, I still can't fathom that Silva is rated by some as our greatest ever player. Brilliant on his day, but our greatest ever player? I suppose it's for another thread on another day.

With bony, he's someone you can tell that he really likes playing for city. Any critism of him should be more towards those up top. He's obviously not a great fit for the team, but he has tried to adapt his game. The team was mad to buy him for so much , but that's not his fault and hes getting to the point that when he does play, he trying to hard to make the perfect play. He's someone I will root for whenever he leaves this summer

Sterling - too selfish. Needs to learn to stop losing the ball (and get past opposition)

Bony - No.

Aguero - Best player in the league

Silva - great player, down on form

Kompany - Boss. Essential

Toure - One of the best depending on his mood

Zab - Our best RB

Kelechi - successor of Aguero. Exciting

Shooting on target just seems to be a stretch too far for Bony.
