DIdn't particularly like De Jong today. Thought he was the reason we moved the ball up so slowly. Micah, Yaya and Silva.

You have stated before that you think nige slows down our passing, is this the same nige who has been missing for weeks, and did you notice our style or pace of passing improve? Me neither! I did think he played very well considering how long he has been missing, but Micah just about gets it for that bullet header

I don't think so. I think I mentioned that in this game, the slowing down and unadventurous pass backs were mostly his doing.

As for our pace of passing when he was out. I never said it was better. Sometimes it is Barry slowing it down and passing back, othertimes it is Tevez holding on too long, or Lescott dropping it off to the goalie, or Kolarov dilly dallying, or Yaya not moving.

Someone, or a group of players are often most responsible for the slowed effect. And folks often point it out. I just thought it was strange that today, everyone pretended not to notice who was doing it.

I know what you mean dax, it is frustrating when we work the ball so slowly, I have said before put city on sky plus at x2 speed and that's what most of the top 6 play like! I think with nige yesterday, people are choosing to look at the positives of his breaking up of play, rather than the negative of holding onto the ball too long , which seems to be instructions from the manager, as when personell change the pace of passing doesn't.

nige was a warrior as per usual, won everything, and worked tirelessly when not in possession.
lescott won every header and seemed so composed on the ball.
micah gave 100% and deserved that goal.

I'd 'ave given it Jole, but WTF was he doin' late on watching that Reading player - got away with that, but Jole and Vinny. Just comin' together nicely.

Yeah, my heart basically stopped when he did that.
