Zaba (by a country mile.)
Clichy (impressive, improved on last year)
Barry (solid, tidy job 90% of the time)

These are players who don't normally make the headlines, they quietly get on with their job to create the chances the players up front who do. Too easy to focus on the goal scorers.

The whole defence including GB and Garcia as cover have been fantastic - best defence in the Prem, as it has been for the last 2 years. So no wonder they have featured prominently in the nominations here. And it must really rankle with all the herd following pundits who were saying at the start of the season that City have let in far too many goals. Twats. Possibly true in the CL but not really in the Prem.

Always believed that truly great defences win you titles, not necessarily prolific strikers, so I remain confident that we can retain the title if we stay as miserly as we've been.
