eric nixon there was a hard man.
You beat me to it. He was rumoured to have been in the odd skirmish after a pint or two. And do you remember him getting sent off against Palace for Ian Wright running striaght into his fist.

Paul Stewart ?? Didn't get involved in much but looked hard enough and stood his ground with big burly centre backs when he needed to.

Good shout mate and possibly Tiatto I should have included
these two should be in, but i cant see denis tueart being hard

You didn't see him stick the nut on a Hartlepool player in a Cup tie at Maine Rd I assume? Broke his cheekbone IIRC.

Not read all the posts but cant see too many mentions of Neil McNab?

Also I didn't think Tiatto was hard at all really, just a dirty twat which isn't quite the same thing.

You may well be right, I know they were both playing that day but it was Wright I remember was winding everyone up. One of them had gone in late on Nixon earlier and then when they did it a 2nd time he was ready for them. I'm sure Wright ended up signalling to the bench to be substituted later because our players were seeking revenge and going in hard on him at any opportunity.

Crikey,Some orf you must remember when franny lee had a go at that other player cant remember who but its on the Lee,Bell,Summerbee video sure its spuds or derby anyway he fuckin wades in like a madman and dont forget franny is only a small bloke. That for me is a hard twat. The other bloke shat himself....

Asa Hartford was a tough little bleeder but the accolade has to go to Bert Trautman.Played almost 75 minutes of the FA cup with a broken neck, Fought for 3 years on the western front receiving several medals.....don`t talk about hardest players unless this guy is on the list.
