I never said it is realistic, more than that, I even mentioned that there is no chance of it happening and I am just writing to share my thoughts. The discussion here is not what you think City will do this summer, we just playing for fun- you have a budget of 200 million, do whatever you want. Well I did what I want, Football Manager Style :)

To be better defensively, he needs a run of games in his natural position.

It doesn't help when you change his position every game.

He was very suspicious defensively even for Juventus. Their fans were not upset when he left. From those 2, I prefer Walker. And I also rate Porro, young and ours. As I said, my main problem with him is his body language. He looks like he could get up a gear and be a perfect RB but his mind prevents him. That being said I think there are 0 chances for him to leave because of his versatility.

I think that the top priority for us next window is:
1) To retain quality players we already have - B. Silva is a must retain IMO. Hopefully we can retain Laporte too.
2) To sign a top defensive mid. Gundo and Rodri aren't good enough defensively when we need a destroyer and Fernandinho is getting old and may well leave us next window.

I'd spend big on areas 1 and 2 above.

Curiously, this would mean that we may enter next season with Jesus/Torres as our main striker options - neither player excites me in this role.

OtOH - we played the majority of last season without a top striker and, IMO, were the best club in world football for most of the season. Should we fail to sign a top striker (Halaand my first preference) - I'm OK with that - so long as we accomplish 1 and 2 above.
