I'm watching the match on Sky Sports but is Stephen Ireland playing in the same role as last season? from what i've seen in the first 3 games he seems to be playing further back rather than attacking.

There lie's the problem.

maybe this formation doesn't suit Ireland as much as last years

Cant be much wrong with the general passing at 64% posession.

Final ball from the wings has been a bit woefull though.

Ireland having a shocker so far.

Going to take him a few games to adjust to playing there and have Barry playing beside him though. They'll be unstoppable when they've properly clicked tho
