probably why his music receives critical acclaim and commercial success around the world. Not to mention the shit loads of cash he's made from singing.
Speaks volumes about the idiot reviewers who rated him and those that bought his droning nonsense. People used to accuse Status Quo of being musically inept, but with their 3 chords, they knew 2 more than that lump could ever master...
Anyway, back to the topic of Barry, I think perhaps we are going a bit over the top.
In my view, he was a great player. When he started for England when Lampard was injured, England never looked so good, so balanced. Much better than trying to pla Gerard and Lampard at the same time, which had never worked. He was a breath of fresh air. Likewise for Villa, he was awesome and that continued for much of his City career.
But sadly, whereas he was not unknown for the odd error, these were starting to become the norm rather than the exception. And he was getting even slower. This season would have been a season too far in a high-line, fast pressing team, I think. He would not have got much game time with us and keeping him on the bench (or in the stand) for the last year of his contract would have been unfair.
So thank you Gareth for everything you have done for us. And I wish you well at Everton and whatever the future holds for you.

He started 34 of 38 matches our last championship season, enough said. His positional sense is probably one of his best attributes. He knows where to be to take passing lanes away, something that won't get credited by the press/pundits. You actually have to watch the guy to see his mind for the game is top notch. I think we will sorely miss him a few times over this season (if we haven't already). I hope he comes back in a coaching position in time. Much respect to Gaz Baz.

When you are lucky enough to attend the match in person you see the contribution Gaz Baz makes.
If you can get the Blue Tuesday webcast from tonight and hear the tribute by Radio Manchester's Ian Cheeseman you will see what I mean. It was a great show.
Can we not just ban Wayne71... clearly a rag on the wind up, if not he should be embarrassed to call himself a blue... clueless twat
